Professional Driving Instruction in Gloucester & Cheltenham

It is important to learn safe driving practice from the beginning of your driving career because bad habits are hard to break. It is unlikely that anyone except an approved driving instructor (ADI) would have the experience, knowledge and training to teach you properly. I believe the best way of learning to drive is by having regular planned lessons with a good, professional instructor and, where possible, plenty of private practice.

Independent Driving Instructor or large Company?

Most driving instructors engaged in learner driver training are self-employed whether they work as 'an independent' such as myself or under the name of a local or national driving school. I choose to work as 'an independent' because it provides me with greater freedom and because I generate sufficient business, mainly through recommendation, without the support of a 'bigger name'.

Why choose me?

I am 60 years of age, married and a retired police officer. Working as a traffic patrol officer provided the necessary driving skills and stimulated my interest in road safety. I have experienced at first hand the pain and suffering caused by road 'accidents', most of which  I believe could be avoided through better driver training, education and improved driver behaviour.

I am a former Police Class 1 Advanced Car Driver, a Police Standard Motorcyclist and Accident Investigation Officer. I also have broad training experience. I enjoy teaching and working with 'pupils' of whatever age, gender and background. I will use my specialist knowledge and skills to teach to drive confidently and safely on our increasingly congested roads.
